Financial Adviser Exam Results For March 2025

  • A total of 177 candidates passed the exam, down on the last exam held in November 2024 which was at 225 and the March 2024 exam at 2010.

  • The pass rate of 73% is above the long term average of 66%, but down on November 2024 which was a record of 77%

  • The number of advisers resitting the exam two or more times is at 66. This is consistent with past exam results and indicates that most candidates that fail the exam are not giving up and willing to give it another go.

  • More candidates that have passed the exam are not practising (see chart below). Currently, 20,237 candidates have passed, while there are only 15,552 active advisers as of the end of March 2025, a difference of 4,685. In March 2024, the difference was 3,955.

  • The 4,685 who have passed but are not practising make up 30.12% of the active advisers, up from 25.40% in March 2024 and 19.02%% in February 2023.
