Adviser Numbers Increased by 8 for the week moving from 15,135 to 15,143

Four new Licensees this week and no ceased Licensees. The net rise of advisers was eight, slightly down on last week’s number of plus 10.

The March Financial Adviser Exam continues to see more advisers added to the ASIC Financial Adviser Register (FAR) with 8 (new advisers) joining this week. Without this increase, the net adviser count would have remained unchanged.

Sequoia owned InterPrac was down by again another four advisers, all four being appointed elsewhere.

Calendar 2026 YTD: net adviser numbers are up by 90, a rise of 0.6%. At the same point last year the net increase was 108, or 0.7%. Although the absolute net gain in advisers this year is smaller (90 vs 108), the percentage rise is only marginally lower because the starting totals differed: on 1 Jan 2025 there were 15,471 advisers, while on 1 Jan 2026 there were 15,053 — a reduction of 418 advisers.
