Financial Adviser Market Insights, July 23, 2026
Adviser numbers rose by 15 for the week, moving from 15,050 to 15,065
A third straight week of gains and with it a quiet milestone: the profession is now net positive for calendar 2026 at +10, having clawed back all of the year-end losses in the space of a few weeks.
New entrants remained very strong at 25, keeping the post-financial-year intake running. The week's largest single move was Sequoia, down another 11 to 110, with its departing InterPrac advisers spread across several licensees, while Australian Financial Planning Group added seven, continuing to absorb advisers from the CPW Advisory.
The other notable development this week was corporate rather than organic. Count Limited has acquired Oracle Advisory, and the transfer of those advisers onto Count's licences accounts for much of its movement in the data below. The acquisition lifts Count to 542 advisers, making it the third-largest licensee owner and leapfrogging WT Financial Group, which sits just behind on 528. Entireti & Akumin Group remains the largest at 1,088, followed by Centrepoint Group at 590.
A total of 130 advisers were affected by appointments and/or resignations this week, including 25 new entrants to the register.
Number of New Entrants - For the Calendar Year (and current on the FAR) - 288 and for the current Financial Year - 69.

Growth - Licensee Owners
Australian Financial Planning Group up by seven, the week's largest gain, six joining from CPW Advisory (now at zero advisers) and one from Praescius Financial Holdings, continuing the migration of that book that began last week.
Phillip Alexander (Gill and Co) up by five with four joining from Sequoia's InterPrac licensee (see Losses) and one a new entrant. At 38 advisers, Gill and Co is extending the strongest run of the past year.
Rhombus Enterprises up by five, comprising four new entrants and one adviser from Entireti & Akumin.
A new licensees commenced with three, a newly commenced licensee, formed by three advisers who are still currently showing as being authorised at AFSL LIcensee Pty Ltd.
Infocus Group up by three, with two joining from Clime Investment Management and one a new entrant.
Elston Group up by two (one from Stanford Brown, one new entrant), while Entireti & Akumin and Sofia Korac (Springboard Wealth) were each up by two — the latter taking former Sequoia advisers.
A tail of 32 licensee owners up by net one each including Industry Super Holdings and AvalonFS and the two remaining new licensees
Losses - Licensee Owners
Sequoia Group down by 11, the week's largest single move, now at 110 as its year-long decline continues. The departing InterPrac advisers were spread widely, four to Gill and Co, three to Springboard Wealth and one each to Lifespan and Entireti & Akumin, with the remainder not yet reappointed.
NAB Bank licensee JBWere down by four and Mark Wyld (MWL Group) down by four, with none of the departing advisers yet reappointed.
Count Limited shows a net of minus three in the weekly movement, but this understates its week. The adviser activity reflects the integration of the newly acquired Oracle Advisory onto Count licences (see above), which has lifted the group to third-largest overall.
SGN Financial down by three, one moving to Centrepoint Group and the rest not yet reappointed.
A tail of licensee owners down by one or two each, including Clime Investment Management and Findex Group. No licensees were reduced to zero advisers this week.
