Adviser numbers rose by 9 for the week, moving from 15,174 to 15,183
A second consecutive week of gains, and a milestone for the financial year: net growth since 1 July has now passed the +300 mark, reaching +301. Calendar 2026 stands at +127, against (-39) at the same point last year, a turnaround of 166 advisers.
The week's main story is again LFC, the licence branded as Ironbark and sitting within Entireti & Akumin Group. It gained a net five advisers to reach 106 as the consolidation continues: six advisers transferred across from Akumin Financial Planning, offset by one who ceased. Because these moves are within Entireti & Akumin Group, they don't register at the licensee owner level. The group itself actually fell by three, for reasons set out in the Losses section below.
Elsewhere, three advisers left The G & A Hunter Family Trust (Hunter Green Pty Ltd), together for Radius Wealth. Hunter Green are nowdown to just 5 advisers after starting the year on 22. Sequoia Group, who announced this week the sale of InterPrac lost another five, all from InterPrac.
A total of 81 advisers were affected by appointments and/or resignations this week, including 12 new entrants to the register.

Growth - Licensee Owners
Ord Minnett Group up by four to 282 with three new entrants and one adviser from Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Australia.
Two licensee owners up by three:
Springboard Holdings (Springboard Wealth Pty Ltd) (25) — two advisers from Sequoia Group's InterPrac Financial Planning and one returning to advice after a break of around 12 months, last current at Rhombus Enterprises' RI Advice Group.
Christopher Andrew Humphrey (Radius Wealth Pty Ltd) (11) — all three advisers joining together from The G & A Hunter Family Trust (Hunter Green Pty Ltd).
Eight licensee owners up by two:
A new licensee commenced with two advisers (2) Details Given To Members — formed by two advisers from Rhombus Enterprises' RI Advice Group.
Endeavor Asset Management (39) — both new entrants.
Bannister Consulting (SIRA Group Pty Ltd) (28) — both from Sequoia Group's InterPrac Financial Planning.
Centrepoint Group (600) — four arrivals (three formerly at Entireti & Akumin's Hillross Financial Services licence and one from Infocus Group's Infocus Securities Australia), net of two departures from Alliance Wealth.
Rhombus Enterprises (478) — one adviser from Associated Concepts and one from Entireti & Akumin's Charter Financial Planning.
Sherlock Wealth Advisory Services (4) — a new entrant and one adviser returning after a break of around three months, last current at Entireti & Akumin's Personal Financial Services.
Lifestyle Asset Management Group (41) — three arrivals, two of them returning after long breaks (around eight months and more than three years respectively) and one from Templestone Financial Services, net of one departure to WT Financial Group.
UniSuper (UniSuper Management Pty Ltd) (82) — one adviser returning after a break of around 19 months, last current at ART Group Services, and one from Findex Group.
A tail of 12 licensee owners up by net one each, including Count Limited (551), Lifespan (Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd) (314), Macquarie Group (106), AD Financial Services (AD Advisory Services Pty Ltd) (26) and Hatmour Pty Ltd ATF Gilmour Family Trust (Integro Holdings (WA) Pty Ltd) (11), the latter taking an adviser from Entireti & Akumin's Fortnum Private Wealth licence.
Losses - Licensee Owners
Sequoia Group down by five to 74, all exiting InterPrac — two advisers to Springboard Holdings, two to Bannister Consulting (see Growth) and one not yet reappointed.
Entireti & Akumin Group down by three to 1,094. Behind the net figure, the six Akumin Financial Planning advisers who moved to LFC Group (Ironbark) cancel out within the group, so the fall comes from four departures offset by one new entrant at Akumin Financial Planning. Three of the four departures have ceased with no reappointment yet: an adviser on the register since 2002 at Fortnum Advice, one at Personal Financial Services, and one at LFC Group who had only moved across from Akumin in late August. The fourth, from Fortnum Private Wealth, moved to Hatmour Pty Ltd ATF Gilmour Family Trust (Integro Holdings (WA) Pty Ltd) .
The G & A Hunter Family Trust (Hunter Green Pty Ltd) down by three to 5, all three advisers moving together to Christopher Andrew Humphrey (Radius Wealth Pty Ltd).
Togethr Trustees down by three to 19, none of the departing advisers yet reappointed.
WT Financial Group down by two to 505 — three departures, none yet reappointed, partly offset by one adviser joining from Lifestyle Asset Management Group.
A tail of 13 licensee owners down by net one each, including Canaccord Group (199), Morgans Group (436), Picture Wealth Group (382), Industry Super Holdings (105) and Spark Partnership Group (101).
No licensees were reduced to zero advisers this week.
New Entrants - Impact on the Top 10 Advice Groups
For the current calendar year, Entireti & Akumin Group has taken on the most new entrants among the ten largest licensee owners (29), but relative to size the standouts are Ord Minnett Group (16, or 5.67% of its advisers) and Count Limited (20, or 3.63%). They are the only two of the ten above the 2.75% recorded across all advisers (417 current new entrants), while WT Financial Group (0.99%) and NAB Bank (1.15%) sit well below it.
Together the ten hold about a third of all advisers but only 28% of the new entrants (118 of 417), which suggests smaller licensees are doing proportionally more of the recruiting.

The Australian Financial Adviser Market 2026 is Padua's data-driven read on the state of the profession. Drawing on the ASIC Financial Adviser Register and adviser exam data, it maps six forces behind a market that has stopped shrinking but is far from recovered: 15,012 advisers, ageing fast, against 3.6 million Australians who need advice. The conclusion is a shift in the question itself, from how to grow the workforce to how to get more from the one we have.
