A very busy week as we move into the new financial year. The week saw a net loss of (-33) advisers, but the new financial year is up by +115. The post is split to give a summary of last financial year and this week’s activity. 275 advisers included in the data for the week.

A loss of (-46) advisers this week as it gets close to the end of the financial year. We tend to see a surge of losses in June and afterwards a surge in appointment in July as advisers switch licensees.

This week’s adviser movement saw a net loss of (-17) advisers despite a surge in new entrants. Calendar YTD 438 advisers have ceased. We take another look at advisers affected by disciplinary actions and note that close to 50% were last authorised at a licensee that is now closed.

Another week of losses and growth YTD has dropped to only +14. This week we analyse advisers that have ceased during 2023. After five months some 365 have ceased and this could clime to over 850 by the end of the year.
