Large licensee owners doing well- see more below.

A total of 101 advisers were affected by appointments and/or resignations this week, including 22 new entrants to the register.

  • Phillip Alexander (Gill and Co Advisory) up by three to 41 — all three joining from Sequoia's InterPrac Financial Planning licensee (see Losses), extending the strongest run of the past year.

Six licensee owners up by two:

  • Sofia Korac (Springboard Wealth) up by two, both also joining from Sequoia's InterPrac licensee.

Losses - Licensee Owners

  • Sequoia Group down by six to 104, all from InterPrac Financial Planning — three to Gill and Co, two to Springboard Wealth and one to WT Financial Group.

  • Vivid Holdco (Viridian Advisory) down by four, with a team of four moving together to THK Partners (see Growth) and one adviser not yet reappointed.

  • Newcastle Greater Mutual Group down by three and reduced to zero advisers, two moved to Centrepoint Group and one to Daintree Topco (Bridges Financial Services)

  • Medical Financial Pty Ltd down by three and reduced to zero advisers, all three moving to SPS Licence (see Growth).

  • WT Financial Group down by two on net — four advisers left for Entireti & Akumin while one joined from Interprac and one from Prosperity Wealth Advisory, partly offsetting the loss.

  • A tail of licensee owners down by one each, including Infocus Group, Lifespan and Hewison & Associates.

Large Licensee Owners - Gaining Advisers

Were only just a few weeks into the new financial year and its off to a solid start, up by +238. Some interesting stats coming through with some large licensee owners holding onto the top three spots for total growth, followed by two relatively new firms who have benefited from InterPrac’s demise.

In addition we have seen 20 new licensees and seven ceased - So large groups doing well but new new licensees still growing. It will be interesting to how all of this works out during the year.

The Australian Financial Adviser Market Report 2026
$0.00

The Australian Financial Adviser Market 2026 is Padua's data-driven read on the state of the profession. Drawing on the ASIC Financial Adviser Register and adviser exam data, it maps six forces behind a market that has stopped shrinking but is far from recovered: 15,012 advisers, ageing fast, against 3.6 million Australians who need advice. The conclusion is a shift in the question itself, from how to grow the workforce to how to get more from the one we have.
