Financial Adviser Exam Analysis For June 2025
On July 4, 2025, ASIC announced the results of the June 2025 Financial Adviser Exam. We have compared this data with past results since August 2022.

A total of 157 candidates passed the exam. This is 20 less than the last exam of March 2025 and eight less than June 2024
The number sitting the exam for the second time was 58, the lowest number since August 2023 when it was 57
The pass rate was 66%. This is close to the long run average when taking into account the two exam sittings back in 2022. However, it is below the 69% for all sittings post 2022 and below 70% which was achieved in June 2024
The number sitting the exam was at 237 two more than June 2024
For the first two exams in 2025, 478 people took the tests. This is lower than the 533 people who took the first two exams in 2024, mainly because 298 sat in March 2024.
Total passing for 2025 to date is at 334 compared to 375 for the same period in 2024
On a rolling 12 months (the last four sittings), 702 have passed the exam. The previous rolling 12 months was 670
By the end of June 2025, 20,394 candidates passed the exam, but only 15,298 advisers were active, a variance of 5,096. In June 2024, the variance was 4,351. The variance grew by 745, despite only 702 passing the exam since June 2024
The 5,096 who have passed the exam but are not practising, is the equivalent of 33.31% of the active advisers, up from 28.36% in June 2024.
